GCF works with George Washington University Law School on alumni microsite
GCF will design a microsite to congratulate the class of 1973 and to promote its upcoming reunion. The site will be a prototype for future Law School class reunion communications.

GCF to design new publication for the Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School
GCF will work with the Carey Business School on concept and design direction for the School's groundbreaking biannual magazine.

GCF recognized in Graphis 2008 Poster Annual
This year's book, like earlier editions, features the finest poster designs from around the globe. Posters were selected from an extensive pool of entries, and each one has earned the new Graphis Gold Award for excellence. Designed for the UCDA Foundation, the poster was also accepted in the 2008 Graphis Design Annual.

GCF works with Frostburg State University on Campaign Communications
Frostburg State University, one of 13 institutions in the University System of Maryland, has hired GCF to assist in the development of a campaign case statement and other materials in support of upcoming fundraising efforts.

Due for publication this fall, GCF's work will be featured in Graphis Branding USA 3, showcasing the most innovative work in the branding business.

Hundreds of Websites, Countless Insights   Brenda Foster and Katie Pugh will review the data from our eighth year of the 100 college website survey. The seminar will offer tips and guidance on creating and/or updating college websites. This year we surveyed US News & World Report's list of 2007 Nation's Most Competitive in Terms of Admissions. We will compare the results from this list to last year's results and share our findings.

CASE Online Speakers Series
Brenda Foster has been invited to speak to the CASE Online Speakers Series again this year. Last year's audience neared 1,000 attendees. Details to be announced as soon as they become available.

GCF to develop new brand positioning for The Mary Louis Academy
GCF will begin a research phase for The Mary Louis Academy, a Catholic college preparatory school for girls in Jamaica Estates, New York. Our research will help define the School's brand position and will guide the development of upcoming communications materials.

After a decade of success using admissions materials originally designed by our firm, McDonogh School has chosen GCF to develop new marketing materials that reflect the School's current position and institutional vision. McDonogh School is a coeducational day and boarding college preparatory school, enrolling students from kindergarten though 12th grade.

GCF to develop new brand positioning for Nazareth College
Nazareth College has hired GCF to analyze current institutional positioning and conduct research to support a new brand positioning statement that will serve as the basis for messaging and creative development. Located in Rochester, New York, Nazareth College is a coeducational institution with a liberal arts and sciences core.

Regarded as the most respected design annual in the world, Graphis has selected a poster designed by GCF for inclusion in the 2008 Design Annual. The poster was designed for the UCDA Foundation, an organization that supports the University & College Designers Association in attaining its goals for member education and charitable support. GCF begins work on branding plan for Chesapeake Academy
GCF will begin marketing and branding work for Chesapeake Academy after the development of a strategic plan this summer. Projects include message development, print publications, website consultation, and print advertising. Chesapeake Academy is a pre-K through 5th grade independent school in Annapolis, Maryland.

University of Baltimore reports impressive stats
The results are in. The admissions materials produced by GCF for the undergraduate division of the University of Baltimore have helped UB exceed enrollment expectations. Here are the numbers:

New student applications
Fall 2006: up 10 percent at undergraduate and graduate levels

First-year student applications
Projected applications: 400
Received applications: 810
Accepted students: 268
Enrollment goal: 140

New student enrollment
Fall 2006: up 15 percent undergraduate and 16 percent graduate

GCF begins work on theme building and communications materials for College Misericordia
In conjunction with the College's pending transition to university status, GCF will work with Misericordia to shape a theme, core messages, and new marketing materials.

Campaign for UINDY closes with great success
The results are in-—the case statement, campaign identity, and campaign website GCF produced for the University of Indianapolis have helped the University successfully conclude its most ambitious campaign ever. The campaign raised funds exceeding 50% of the original goal.

    Highlights include gifts from the Lilly Endowment, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and the UINDY Board of Trustees. The campaign also won support from nearly 100,000 individuals, foundations, corporations, and organizations.

Website Usability Study Workshop

Brenda Foster will discuss ways to conduct a meaningful website usability study. Using participant websites, session volunteers will attempt to find answers to frequently asked questions as the audience observes their navigation and behavior. To Click or Not to Click: The Annual 100 College Website Survey

For the past seven years, GCF has surveyed the same 100 College websites and tracked changes to home pages, marketing, graphic design, navigation and use of technology. In this session Brenda Foster will present year-seven conclusions, along with a list of things to do and to avoid, tips on favorite website features, and anecdotal comments from survey participants. GCF begins work on selected undergraduate admissions communications for the University of Baltimore
The University of Baltimore has retained GCF to provide marketing strategy and creative guidance on admissions recruitment communications related to the school's recent mandate to develop a lower division and admit a freshman class in fall 2007.

GCF will be recognized in the 2006 American Corporate Identity Annual for the design of the Albany Law School institutional logo. The annual recognizes the best brand/identity work from the nation's leading design firms.

Results are in from the Admissions Office at Widener University

Following the launch of the new communications branding campaign, freshmen applications increased by 44% and transfer applications rose by 62.6%. Early results indicate freshmen deposits are up 200% from this time last year.
