Maureen Weiss is a seasoned art director who knows how to define and solve the most complex communications problems. She understands both the print and electronic environments and how to design successfully to make the most out of any medium of communication. Whether she's folding paper stock in interesting and unexpected ways or plotting a comprehensive navigational structure for a website, Maureen's work reinforces the marketing goals of the client's communications plan.
Maureen's work for GCF includes comprehensive admissions, development, and identity programs for such institutions as SUNY/Buffalo, The Orchard School, the Central Institute for the Deaf, and Gettysburg College, among others. Over the course of her 14 years of experience, Maureen has been consistently recognized by regional and national competitions including those sponsored by the AIGA, CASE, UCDA, and the ADCMW. Maureen has prepared award-winning communications for such institutions as Longwood University, Gettysburg College, La Salle University, SUNY/Buffalo, Harpeth Hall School, and The Orchard School. She has a degree in Communication Design from Syracuse University and has studied at Syracuse's London Centre and Central School of Art in London, England. She teaches Design Principles and Strategies, and Publications Management in the graduate program of Communications Design at the University of Baltimore. She is on the Villa Julie College Advisory Board and has been a guest speaker at colleges and universities on design and the design process. |
